Welcome to the World
04:50
|

Welcome to the World
Welcome to the world you’re living in it’ll never be like this again
From this day forward you’ll fight your life away and win, and win, and win
From this moment onward you’ll do your damnedest not to sin, and sin, and sin
We didn’t make the rules son, that’s just the way it’s always been
Welcome to the world you’re giving in waiting for the future to begin
From this day forward you’ll sell your precious time away to pay the rent
From this moment onward you’ll commit a petty crime a day and then repent
We didn’t write the book son, we only signed off on the document
Welcome to the world you’re dying in have a lovely day come back again
From this day forward you’ll fear your past away you wish was still a yonder day ahead
From this moment onward you’ll be a castaway all laid up in a bed
We didn’t make the rules sir, we’re just here to help until your dead

You and I are the Same
03:33
|
|||
You and I are the Same
You and I are the same
Two different people with much the same brain
Drifting along on a similar plane
And patiently waiting until it is time
And wondering when we might grow us a spine
Existing so far in the back of our minds
Sweet dreams
We are alive it seems
Whatever the hell that means
We are alive it seems
You and I are the same
Two different places caught in the same game
And thinking the rules should be written more plain
And becoming impatient awaiting our spines
And wishing that we could go forward in time
Until forward arrives at the front of our minds
Sweet dreams
We are alive it seems
Whatever the hell that means
We are alive it seems
Held to ground by our roots reaching down and someday they’ll find our remains
But they probably won’t know us by face or by name, cause you and I are the same

Sights and Sounds
05:07
|
|||
Sights and Sounds
Sights and sounds are simply strings of strange vibrations
Sending cells of information through the galaxy
Sifting through the ages lost in quiet contemplation
Where past and future unfold simultaneously
Travel lightly your purpose is unknown
You don’t need no recognition if you can’t create it on your own
Timeless tones are turning rhythmic transmutations
Into tangible translations taken literally
Transcending through the pages the art of conversation
Ever toils upon the tempest of technology
Travel lightly your purpose is unknown
You don’t need no damned religion that you can’t imagine on your own
So I will kill my time until I die
Only to live again under the same sky
And all that I am is all I can comprehend
I exist inside my mind
Travel lightly your future is your own
The world that you envision is the only thing your eyes are ever shown
Burning brightly the conversations dead
And everything worth saying has more or less already been said

Things That Numb Us Down
04:42
|

The Things that Numb Us Down
I know below the scar there is a wound
That tries its best not to heal like a crater on the moon
And so we go for the things that numb us down
The day will stay as dark as the end of time
Until we rise up from our rest and continue to climb
But still we feel only things that numb us down
We control you we hear you when you pray
You’re just a blissful slave trapped inside of your self
Inflicted man-made damned restraints
You let us take away your desire to elevate your mind
We are irresistible, hypocritical, material things
Bound by flesh and bone
Ground by hands of stone
Between earth and sky
They are the same thing and so are you and so am I
When you come to a space that knows no fear
The clock will swing the bell will ring the evening disappears
Where we are free of the things that numb us down

Lazy Monday
03:37
|
|||
Lazy Monday
When the moon no longer smiles
Please don’t wake me I’d like to dream for awhile
I know I should be on the go
I ask the sun why be so kind
As to share with me your beautiful light
I know I shouldn’t sleep thru it
But the morning sun is quickly to arise
And blazes thru my window into my eyes
All the world as far as the eye can see
All the people in the world moving reluctantly
Lazy Monday all the world as far as the daylight reigns
Is burning down in my brain
The clock tells me it’s three
Here on this earth but in my dreams I am free
I’m told they’re only hallucinations
When the sun no longer blooms
And I will wake and say goodnight to the moon
Goodnight
But now I’ll sleep and dream thru the light

The Problem with Sand
04:39
|
|||
The Problem with Sand
The problem with sand is it breaks apart
And makes up your hands and your head and heart
But two wondering souls can’t embrace without matter and space to fill up the dark
If the time breeds eternal war
And in fact turns a virgin into a whore
Then if our eyes were to meet I’d remember her sweet gaze from lives before
You and me have eternally had a history of serendipity
And I’m bored by the thrill of the chase
Me and you keep returning to this time and place
To find the eyes behind the face
The devil rode by on a gleaming steed
and tried to sell you some demon greed
But if his offers to steep I could sing him to sleep for ya’ if you need
You and me have eternally had a history of serendipity
And I’m bored by the thrill of the chase
Me and you keep returning to this time and place
To find the eyes behind the face

The Dialectic of the One and Many
I can fathom one thing I can see another
Neither one is sacred both require the other
We’re only killing time here thinking and perceiving
Mindlessly believing understanding nothing
Gonna work these weary bones until the blood pours from my hands
Gonna move the stones beneath this holy mountain made of sand
Gonna slay the beast who chew the cud
And sow the grain who drinks their blood
And soon enough the fire and flood will wash it all away
When will you learn what you came here to find
Your eyes are still blind
For I am the mountain and I am the sun
When the ever-flowing fountain forms the many into one
Here along the bottom you can be your own slave
Free to live your own life slowly dig your own grave
Far across the dead world ever soul is praying
Believing what their saying all the while decaying
Gonna work these weary bones until the blood pours from my hands
Gonna move the stones beneath this holy mountain made of sand
Gonna slay the beast who chew the cud
And sow the grain who drinks their blood
And soon enough the fire and flood will wash it all away
When will you learn what you came here to find
Your eyes are still blind
For I am the mountain and I am the sun
When the ever-flowing fountain forms the many into one
I had a dream of phantoms
That surely did come true
Two there stood before
And one of them was you
Into the nothing you said something
But how shall I empathize
Or recognize the one with the yellow eyes
How shall I realize…..I was you
I am the mountain I am the sun
Rise forth from the ocean and breathe the oxygen
When will you earn what you came here to find
Will you open minds
For you are the mountain and you are the sun
When the ever-flowing fountain forms the many into one
I’ll be going home now back to where I came from
Miles from the mountain which stands beneath the dead sun
Far across the badlands where every soul is praying
Believing what they’re saying all the while decaying

The Same Ol’ You and I
You and I are the same
Two different people with much the same brain
Drifting along on a similar plane
Wishing if only we’d had some time
To surely but slowly develop a spine
Before it gave out from the weight of our minds
Sweet dreams
We’re still alive it seems
Whatever the hell that means
We’re still alive it seems
